The Lesbian and gay Veterinary Medical Association is the professional organization that fosters acceptance, inclusivity and leadership for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary students, of all sexual orientations and gender identities, and their allies, through community development, professional advocacy, and personal empowerment.

The LGVMA confronts and rejects all forms of prejudice and discrimination that have led to misunderstanding, hostility and injustice. These include, but are not limited to, those based on race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, parental status, religious beliefs, military or veteran status, political beliefs, geographic, socioeconomic, and educational background and any other characteristic protected under applicable federal or state law.

The recent law passed in the state of Indiana regarding religious freedom has sparked an outcry and has raised concerns for us regarding our2017 annual convention, scheduled July 21-25, 2017, in Indianapolis.

Donations to LGVMA are always welcomed.
 
Donate to LGVMA

Donations may be made to any of the following funds:

General Fund - Donations to this fund can be used by the board of directors for general operating costs such as website, meetings and other operating costs.

Student Scholarship Fund - Donations are earmarked for our student scholarship program typically 2-4 students per year.

Education Fund - Donations are earmarked for our education program, such as sponsoring keynote lectures or producing educational materials such as "Sexual Diversity in the Animal Kingdom" DVD.

NOTE: LGVMA is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit membership association. Dues and donations may be tax-write offs for business expenses. We always recommend that you talk to your tax person.
